Involved in Naval Intelligence Department. Served on staff of Cmdr in Chief Eastern Fleet. Later served in Control Commission, Germany 1946-47. After demobilisaton worked in the insurance industry. Underwriter for Lombard Marine & General Insurance Co Ltd from 1952. Lived in New York for a period. Fluent German speaker.
